eh-hem.

"A decade ago I never thought I would be 23 (ok 21) and the verge of spontaneous combustion, woe is me. But I guess that it comes with the territory..."
thank you Incubus.

that really doesn't mean anything, except that I spent the entire day at the Holocaust museum. It was intense to say the least. I love history, but sometimes when it is that real, and that horrendous, it's tough to deal with.

It puts life into a bit of an interesting perspective. I feel suddenly guilty about bitching about the stuff I have been whining about recently. But there are higher things that I also suddenly have a greater respect for:

hope in life
determination
love of life
love of family and friends
Respect of others
Baseball

yeah, I know, it might seem cheesey to put baseball in there, but I really love it. I'm sorry, deep down I must be shallow. or, something.

Shallow and wonderful. Competition, being part of team, having something to root for, tests of strenth, endurance and quick thinking--they are all a part of life so Sports, even boring ol' baseball, just happen to tie it all together. Nothing shallow about that, friend.

The bloated paychecks, bloated egos, never-ending circle of marketing and consumerism and use of unnatural performance enhancers shall not be mentioned or anything...oops.

You dash away allegations of a shallow mind by recognizing the horror of mankind's recent history while still having a great appreciation for the wonder and beauty that exist in our world. : D
